Workplace Giving

The Workplace Giving is a simple and effective way for you to regularly donate to two important Archdiocesan Appeals through automated payroll deductions. 

The Appeals which the Workplace Giving is supporting are the Charitable Works Fund and the Priests’ Retirement Foundation.  These Appeals were established by the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney for the purpose of promoting charitable works and to care for retired priests of the Archdiocese.

• Charitable Works Fund (CWF): dedicated to the support of the charitable and pastoral activities of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, currently supporting Aboriginal Catholic Ministry, CatholicCare, Ephpheta centre, Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, Seminary of the Good Shepherd and Catholic Chaplaincy.
• Priest’s Retirement Foundation (PRF): provides care and support of retired priests of the Archdiocese in areas such as accommodation, domiciliary hostel and nursing home care, health insurance, living costs assistance, motor vehicle costs and residential outgoings.

Workplace enables you to set up a regular charitable contribution to either the CWF or the PRF, in confidence, of an amount of your choosing from your pre-tax pay.  As donations are processed through the payroll system, you will receive an immediate tax deduction (donations of $2 or more are tax deductable).  100% of every dollar you donate goes directly to your nominated Appeal, allowing the CWF and PRF Appeals to carry out their important job of helping others.
