Who We Support

The Charitable Works Fund (CWF) is a centralised fund dedicated to the support of the charitable and pastoral activities of the Archdiocese.

The CWF is administered by a committee representing parishes, the Archdiocese and the agencies which are supported by the CWF.

The committee – currently chaired by Father Philip Linder - meets regularly to oversee the three appeals conducted each year through the parishes, to set parish assessments and supervise the distribution of funds to the agencies.

The agencies supported are

• Aboriginal Catholic Ministry
• CatholicCare – (formerly known as Centacare)
• Chaplaincy Services
• The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
• The Ephpheta Centre
• The Seminary of the Good Shepherd, Homebush
